Mobdro is a video stream aggregator that shows users where to find their favorite broadcasts online. It constantly searches the web looking for public feeds that it can then share with mobile users. The app then automatically tags them to let media aficionados know which of these are going to consume the most data.

Everything happens on a single dashboard, which means you can easily discover video feeds from around the world. If you'd prefer to only see HD streams, then you can filter everything else out with a single tap. A few convenient menu options also give you the freedom to look for low quality streams that should prove useful to those who have to pay extra when they go over a data limit on their phones.

While the feeds come from numerous countries, a large percentage of them are in English. Those who are looking for coverage of different topics in a number of international languages are able to find these by switching around a few checkmarks in the preferences tab. Users are free to specify the type of content that they're most interested in and Mobdro will do its best to find feeds that match it in their preferred language.

Since Mobdro tries to find feeds that users won't have to pay extra for, it tends to be rather heavy on news content. That being said, you may be surprised at what other kinds of streams the software locates. In some cases, you'll find channels broadcasting full-length cinematic movies without any commercials. At other times, you may come across a number of live sporting events all being shown by a variety of major international broadcasters.

Social media fans can use Mobdro to share recommended videos with their friends. You can also use the built-in message board button to let other people know what you're watching. Some users might find that sharing feeds with other people is a great way to access new content that the wouldn't have otherwise found.

Chances are that you might be more interested in exploring the various streams purely at random. Part of Mobdro's appeal lies in the fact that it aggregates content from streaming services that many users wouldn't otherwise even know existed. There's something fun about stumbling across an interesting feed with an almost indecipherable name assigned to it by a computer algorithm.

Once you do find a few feeds that you'd like to come back to, you can bookmark them the same way you might save a page online to come back to later. You'er able to save a virtually unlimited number of services in this way, though you'll probably only ever find around 5-10 streams that work for you at any given time.

Unfortunately, the way that Mobdro scans the web looking for feeds is prone to failure. Many of the services it indexes are somewhat transient and will go offline in a few days after it discovers them. Admittedly, this is a problem with almost all video streaming services and shouldn't be held against the app directly.

When you first start Mobdro, the app will spend some time downloading metadata related to as many different feeds as it possibly can. Once this process is done, you'll be presented with a list of everything it found that still seems to be active. Though some of these might not work or may take a while to load, the app does keep a digital eye out for any faulty links and automatically removes them if they aren't responding.

As soon as you have a list of functioning ones, you can organize the streams by whatever metric you'd prefer. Resorting them takes only a few moments, so it's relatively easy to look through even the most wide-reaching lists. Most users will want to eliminate streams in languages that they don't understand, but once this is done you'll still be free to sort them by other specifications simply by tapping on a couple of headers. The browser acts something like a file manager in this respect, so you probably won't have to spend much time practicing before you're able to use it. The overall interface is quite intuitive, so even those who have little experience with this kind of software will be able to get up to speed with it in no time.

A built-in topic filter may be the most useful of the sorting tools that come with Mobdro. You can use it screen out streams that are playing uninteresting content. Considering that some channels may carry media of an adult nature, you may also want to use this tool to cut out anything that isn't safe for work.

Content filters can be applied to reduce the risk that you might play something that includes swearing as well as nudity. While these filters don't always work quite as well as expected, it's doubtful that you'll run into any truly embarrassing situations because each adult stream has a rather unique name that should serve as an ample warning.

After using Mobdro for a few days, you'll probably want to go back and find some feeds that you were already watching. A single visit to the player history is all it takes to see every feed you've been watching in the last few days. You're always free to clear this out once it gets full up with video streams, but forgetting to do so shouldn't cause any issues. In fact, it doesn't seem like Mobdro really suffers from any sort of performance slowdowns besides those you'd expect from any streaming service.

Those who want to watch something while they're at work or away from their home Wi-Fi network can use Mobdro to preemptively capture individual downloads. This makes it possible to watch live feeds even when you're offline.

Select a feed that you'd like to make a copy of. Mobdro will start streaming it to a discrete file, which can then be opened up in any standard video player. Users won't have to watch anything saved this way through Mobdro, though the app does give them the option to do so. Those who regularly watch online video streams may want to consider this to be the virtual equivalent of a DVR. While they won't be able to set specific times to start downloading media, there's no reason that they wouldn't be able to download a large amount of video all at one time and then skip through it later on looking for what they need.

Regardless of what kinds of streams you'll looking for, Mobdro's list is so vast that you'll surely be able to find the kind of content that you want.
